Sir Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul, KB, TC (b. August 17 1932, Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago), better known as V. S. Naipaul, is a Trinidadian-born British writer of Indo-Trinidadian descent, currently resident in Wiltshire.
