Acid2 is a test case designed by the Web Standards Project to identify web page rendering flaws in browsers and authoring tools. It is a modern take-off of the Box Acid Test (http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/Test/CSS1/current/test5526c.htm), also known as Acid1, from 1997. because Data URLs used in the original test have never been formally standardized.
